Mayor - 4 Year Term
Susan Bluth has lived in Hightstown since January 2005 and has worked as a paralegal for the past 40 years. Over the past 15 years, Bluth has served her local government, first as an elected Borough Council member, and then as mayor since 2021. During that time, she served as the Borough's liaison to the Cultural Arts Commission, as well as Police Commissioner. Bluth was very active in her community of Wyckoff's Mill, serving on the Condominium Association Board of Directors until being sworn in as mayor.
Susan is a passionate and dynamic leader. Throughout her years as both a Council Member and Mayor, she has forged, cultivated, and fostered relationships with our County and State leaders, as well as other Mayors in Mercer County. Her focus for Hightstown’s government is on transparency, economic development, and continuing to maintain services that our residents not only expect, but deserve.
Borough Council - 3 Year Term
While growing up in East Windsor, Mike Bollentin graduated from Hightstown High School in 1995, later moving to Hightstown in 2003. After retiring as a police officer, Mike has held many professional roles and remains an active EMT while also working as a life insurance agent, business owner, coach, and entertainment producer. Locally, Mike serves Hightstown as chair of the Environmental Commission. If elected to Borough Council, he aims to streamline the municipal budget, advocate for greater transparency, and advance downtown development.
Borough Council - 3 Year Term
Alex Costantino is a local musician, music educator, and a local business owner (Old Hights Brewing Co.). In the community, Alex serves as a member of Hightstown's Complete Streets Committee. As a 13 year resident of Hightstown, Alex and his wife are busy raising their 2 sons and their lively and outgoing five-year-old daughter.
Restore the Ward St Bridge
Reopen the Ward St Bridge while preserving its historic character. Enact local controls to prevent added traffic.
Hightstown will have a landmark it can be proud to showcase for another 100 years.
Revitalize Local Business
Support the economic development committee in growing downtown Hightstown.
Prioritize grant funding opportunities to beautify our downtown and fill vacant storefronts.
Repair Our Infrastructure
Accelerate Hightstown's ongoing water treatment plant upgrades and water main replacements.
Make Hightstown a Better, Safer Place to Live
Prioritize pedestrian safety, especially near our schools.
Upgrade Hightstown's parks, restore our Greenway, and connect to Mercer County's trail network.
Advocate for state truck routes to be relocated away from Hightstown's local streets.
Responsibly Manage Redevelopment Projects
Ensure that local government is encouraging property owners to act. Hightstown has long awaited progress on its Rug Mill, Wells Fargo, and Minute Maid sites.
As new developments occur, ensure that this information is readily shared and easy for Hightstown residents to find.
Ensure a Voice for Everyone
Support Hightstown's immigrant community. Ensure all residents can access Hightstown's services.
Provide a seat at the table - When we share in our Borough pride, everyone benefits.
Beautify our Borough
Refresh our parks and greenway, and bring recreation activities back to Peddie Lake.
Increase Transparency
Improve the Borough's communication to residents, including streaming of public meetings.
